The STIHL GTA40 is a cordless pruner designed for professional tree and shrub care.

The GTA40 is STIHL’s first dedicated battery-powered pruner designed for professional use, part of the AS System. This tool is designed for use on the ground or in the air (*Please note, the GTA 40 can be used by all users on the ground, but is only certified for aerial use by trained arborists.) 

Ideal for tree and shrub care, for professionals working in Horticulture, tree care and landscaping settings.

Features include:

• Powerful EC engine and  ¼” PM3 saw chain, which allows for clean cutting
• Variable chain speed for full control of the cutting speed during use
• Sprocket cover with side-mounted chain tensioning and automatic chain lubrication
• Can be used by both left and right-handed users, with a rocker on both sides of the tool
• An attachment ring lets you hook the tool to your belt for quick access.
• Used 2 x AS2 batteries, which are discharged in parallel (please note this tool cannot be used with only one battery) 
• Charge level indicator on top of the tool
• Certified in accordance with IPX4 protection class means this tool can be used in adverse weather conditions and is splashproof.
